What is the difference between a WAN and DMZ interface?

General Product Information
A wide-area network (WAN) interface provides connectivity to an external network (generally the Internet) while a DMZ interface provides connectivity to a separate private network (generally a private point-to-point connection or local secure subnet for Internet servers).

Within the Edge appliance it is possible to upgrade a DMZ port to a WAN port for certain appliances.
